About Wroxton College
An Educational Legacy Rooted in Place
For eight centuries the grounds of Wroxton Abbey have been a place of learning and reflection, first as an Augustinian priory, then as the seat of the North family, whose most famous son, Lord North, was Prime Minister during the American Revolution. Since 1965 the Abbey has been home to Wroxton College, which offers American students an immersive semester in the humanities: small seminars taught by British faculty, residential life within the Jacobean house itself, and travel across Britain and Europe woven into the curriculum.
In 2025, when the College's founding university decided to sell the estate, Wroxton's alumni and the Rodney L. White Foundation stepped in to secure its future. In May 2026 the College became independent.
Wroxton Abbey is the English home of the Reconciliation League, an association of colleges and universities dedicated to preparing students to lead across deep difference. Beginning in the summer 2027, the Abbey will host one of the League's summer fellowship sessions, and from fall 2027 Wroxton College's semester programs will continue under the League's administration.

Wroxton College is operated by Wroxton College Educational Services Ltd (WCES). The College's academic program is led by Dean Nicholas Baldwin, who has guided Wroxton for four decades, and a long-serving British faculty.
